Brown Dress Belts

These are my brown dress belts: English bridle leather, 1-1/2 inches wide, with a heel bar buckle that looks right with slacks and a suit. Match the belt to your shoes.

Picking a brown

• Havana: my darkest brown, for dark brown shoes and navy or charcoal suits.
• British Brown: a warm, classic brown that matches most brown dress shoes.
• Chestnut: lighter and richer, in Hermann Oak bridle leather. It suits lighter suits and tan or mid-brown shoes.

Cavalier or Heritage

Cavalier has the heel bar dress buckle, and it's the one I'd wear with a suit. Heritage has a plainer, heavier-looking heel bar buckle that sits between casual and dress.
